Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data Street Food Adventure collects on streetfoodadventure.com, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have.

Who is responsible for your data?

Street Food Adventure is a brand of Toward Local (Công ty TNHH Một Thành Viên Toward Local), a tour company in Vietnam. Toward Local is responsible for your personal data (“we”, “us”).

Questions about privacy: email info@streetfoodadventure.com or message us on WhatsApp +84 334 370 563.

What data do we collect?

  • When you send a booking request: your first and last name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, hotel or pickup address, the tour, date and time you choose, the number of adults and children, any notes you add, and the page you sent the form from.
  • When you contact us on WhatsApp or by email: your name, number or email address and whatever you choose to tell us.
  • When you browse the site: Google Analytics records the pages you view, the buttons you click (for example the WhatsApp button), whether a booking request was sent, the website that referred you, your device and browser, and your approximate location (country and city). Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.
  • Server logs: our web host keeps standard technical logs, such as IP address, browser and time of request, to keep the site running and secure.

We do not collect card or other payment details on this website.

Why do we use it?

  • To answer your request and run your tour: checking availability, confirming a guide, arranging pickup and planning around food needs. This is necessary to take the steps you ask for before and during a booking.
  • To improve the website: understanding which pages and channels lead to bookings. This is our legitimate interest, or your consent where the law requires it.
  • To keep the site secure: stopping spam and abuse of the booking form. This is our legitimate interest.
  • To meet legal duties: keeping booking and payment records required by Vietnamese tax and accounting law.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not send marketing emails unless you ask us to.

Who do we share it with?

  • Your guide and rider: only what they need for the tour, such as your name, pickup point, time, group size and food needs.
  • EmailJS: delivers booking form requests to our inbox. Its script may be loaded from the jsDelivr network, which then receives your IP address like any web server.
  • Google: our email inbox (Gmail) and Google Analytics.
  • WhatsApp (Meta): if you choose to message us there.
  • Our web host: stores the website and a copy of each booking request.
  • Authorities: when Vietnamese law requires it.

Some of these providers process data outside Vietnam, for example in the United States. We only use established providers that protect data under their own privacy and security commitments.

Which cookies do we use?

Google Analytics sets the _ga and _ga_NQTEJBR1KD cookies to tell visits and visitors apart. They last up to 2 years. We do not use advertising cookies. WordPress sets its own cookies only for our staff when they log in.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The booking form and WhatsApp links work without cookies.

How long do we keep it?

  • Booking requests and messages: for as long as we need them to arrange your tour and answer questions afterwards, then up to 24 months, unless accounting law requires us to keep booking and payment records longer.
  • Analytics data: detailed Google Analytics data is kept for no more than 14 months.
  • Server logs: for the short period set by our web host.

What are your rights?

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, send you a copy, or stop using it for analytics. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Email info@streetfoodadventure.com and we will reply as soon as we can, within the time the law allows. We handle personal data under Vietnam’s personal data protection law and, for visitors from the European Union and United Kingdom, the GDPR. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Children

Children can join our tours with an adult. We only collect the number of children in a group from the adult who books, and we do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 16.

How do we protect your data?

The website runs over HTTPS, booking requests are stored in a private area of the site that only our team can open, and we share tour details with guides only for the tours they lead.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
